Wanna-Ben!

So as well as being flat out making 2 new episodes of Sparkle Friends we've also been creating titles and episode animation for a new tv show here in New Zealand called 'Wanna Ben'.

Ben and his crew are a swell bunch of chaps, we actually made 'The Stallion' pilot with them last year which also lead to us briefly working with them on their last show 'Pulp Sport'. We've still got a long way to go on this project but it's been fun making animation that will be seen in "prime time"!

Donut look here!

For over a year now we've done some work (on and off) for a company called Donutology. They specialise in Donut related merchandise, mobile phone jewelry, t-shirts, rings etc



We've designed a bunch of characters for their merchandise, mainly t-shirts and posters (see above), but at the end of last year we pitched the idea of donut related skits to help promote Donutology in a viral form. The idea was well received and we knocked out 4 skits based on the "bad uses for a donut" theme.

Studio 2 Titles!

Earlier this year a local kids show called Studio 2 got us to make their new titles, we incorporated all the characters the presenters play within the show and we think they turned out pretty sweet...

Real live flash!

Hey folks,

we just finished up a new tv advert/promo for TV2's "Saturday Disney", a New Zealand saturday morning kids show. This one was a little different for us as we got to experiment with a bit of live action/flash animation mix. Jeremy and Tim went out and filmed the live action parts, then we spent a couple of days adding in the flash animated elements. We're pretty chuffed with how it turned out, it all came together very smooth.....The Fonze smooth.

Hey everyone,

it's been a while since our last post, sorry 'bout that, been a little busy here at Mukpuddy. Anyway, the last couple of months we've been working on a new live action kids show called "Cool Kids Cooking" (renamed CKC for extra coolness). We originally created the animated opening titles and transitions for the show, but the characters proved quite popular so the creators of the series decided to incorporate them throughout the set. It's a very weird experience seeing the characters you've created blown up to 8' tall. Anyway....

Taste this...

Hey folks,

We've been busy working away on a new project for the last 2 weeks and we're finally finished. So here's what the idea was. A kids show here in NZ, Studio 2, ran a competition asking kids to make a comic strip starring the "Colgate Taste Buddies" as part of a month long dental hygene promotion. The winning entry would then be turned into an animated short made by.....us!! We thought this was a pretty cool idea, so we were keen to jump aboard (even though once again we had an ungodly time limit of only 2 weeks).

So here's the winning entry that we chose, we felt this entry had the most potential for some great characters. The main bad guy, Mouth Evil (whom I got to provide the voice for), was too cool a character to pass up. Big props have to go to Tim for his kick ass job animating the villian, nice job dude!!

C4 Idents complete

New Stuff

Yo, Alex here, though I'd make my first post with some images of what we've been up to lately. As Tim posted eariler we did some titles for a music channel here in NZ called C4. The name of the show is "6 Degrees of Seperation" so our idea was to do sort of an evolution of music!
We also just recently finished a skitfor a local band called Pluto that, we hope will air soon on the same channel, but heres a screen shot!!!

Updates of Mukpuddy's latest.

'Morning monkeys.
Just a quick update on what Mukpuddy's been up to.

We've just completed some titles for C4 here in NZ, for the show '6 Degrees of Separation', which is now airing on wednesdays or saturdays or something (not too sure actually) but any way here's a delicious screenshot.

And we've also just completed a skit for the kiwi band, Pluto. Which will hopefully be playing on C4 and online sometime soon. I believe they'll air it when they start playing the video for thier next single, Baby Cruel, which we also made. I'd show you a screenshot of them too, but the puter is being stupid. So maybe next time.
